In a chat box powered by artificial intelligence, I typed in: “write a short sermon on end times” and this is what it came back with.

Dear friends,

As believers, it is important for us to be prepared for the end times, for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that no one knows exactly the day or hour of his return, but we can be certain that it will happen.

In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us signs to look for that will indicate his return is near. These include wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, and persecution of believers. While we may see these things happening in the world around us, we must not be afraid. Jesus has overcome the world, and he has promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age.

In the end times, we must remain faithful and obedient to God’s word. We must continue to spread the good news of the gospel and make disciples of all nations. And above all, we must trust in God’s perfect plan and know that he is in control.

So let us be ready and watchful, knowing that the end times are coming, but also that our hope and salvation is in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

  1. Wow!

I don’t disagree with anything AI said. But I am left thinking Hmmmmm.

I have a couple questions about what this means.

So does AI use what is already out there on the web to create its conversation?

If so, might this mean that the basic information about Jesus’ return is out there on the web.
    If so, that is good.

But it makes me fearful of how easy it would be for “Pastor AI” to develop a following and then begin to change the message and manipulate minds.

    Lots to think about
