A Steaming Hot Godly Life

In 2 Peter, the Bible tells us that we have been given everything that we need to live a godly life. Starting with believing in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we must add other juicy qualities to the pile to develop a steaming, hot godly life. 🍔🤤

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. – 2 Peter 1:5-7

• Faith – Complete trust and confidence in God

• Goodness – Excellence of character, worthy of praise

• Knowledge – Of scripture and how to live the Christian life

• Self-control – Restraint of emotions, impulses, or desires

• Perseverance – Having patience, endurance especially at difficult times

• Godliness – Reading the word, fasting, prayer with devotional discipline

• Mutual Affection – Love that we have for one another in the Body of Christ

• Love – True interest in another; unconditional, affection, regard without limitation
