Unfortunately, I have witnessed this happen to some people. They experienced deliverance, a fresh start, and an opportunity to follow Jesus, but they didn’t take it. They didn’t want to be controlled by the devil, but they didn’t want to live for God either. Instead, they rejected Christ and chose friendship with the world.
Being cleansed doesn’t mean being filled. If you refuse to receive Christ and continue filling your life with ungodly things, the enemy will regain a foothold, and you’ll end up worse off than before.
This is the warning Jesus gives in Matthew 12:43-45.
Jesus wants to do more than just sweep your house clean. He wants to occupy every room and dwell within you. Invite Him in and experience the lasting freedom that only He can give.
