Don’t Forget to Submit

To make the devil flee, we need to submit to God first! We have to understand that we cannot do it alone. We need the power of Jesus to rebuke the devil and to kick him in the rear-end. We often hear people say “Resist the devil and he will flee” but the most important instructions come earlier in the scripture. James advises us to submit to God before doing anything else.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
